Beginnings

Change is inevitable; big changes, small changes. Life is full of them. Sometimes change is welcome and sometimes change is painful and difficult. One thing remains constant in the ebb and flow of our lives - change means beginning again in one form or another.

A fresh beginning brings new perspectives and hope-filled visions for the future. Like a weary sleeper waking from a long slumber, change can open your eyes to a whole new world. Change is often the path God uses to direct our lives. Change is good because it keeps us humble. It keeps us dependent on the Savior.

My life has changed drastically in the last year. Many things familiar and comfortable are no longer the same. I find myself a bit lost in the middle. What will things look like now? What will this new season hold for me and for my family? What is God's will for my life at this moment? Where do I go? What do I do?

Even in the midst of my uncertainty and weakness I am confident in the fact that God holds my life and times in His sovereign hands. He is the Author of beginnings and as I survey the great changes that have taken place, my trust and faith for the future lies securely in Him.

THE ROAD LESS TAKEN

So, this is the beginning of something new. I can't think of anything better than writing about what God is doing and inviting you to join me in my journey down the road.

Welcome to the blogging world. It's a big one and there is certainly room for two more bloggers. Hooray for another way for me to keep up with you.

Bonnie,
I'm a bit late to the party but I think I'm going to love this as much as you do! Something else we'll have in common, my sweet friend. I can't wait for our next adventure.

Thanks, sweetheart! This will be a fun way for us to be part of each other's lives across the miles and keep friends and family in the loop. It's also something we can do together. Love you more!
